We buy a lot of things on the spur of the moment and later regret that we have wasted money. The same applies to insurance of different kinds.

Insurance for expensive items such as houses, homes, cars and contents are worthwhile. But insurance for small items, may be not. Insurance works on averages, those who claim a benefit those who don't pay those who have claimed. It is unlikely that the insurance company will lose out.

One of these items is small gadgets such as mobile phones, portable music players and cameras. Some of these gadgets are expensive while others are not.

When you go into any high street shop and you have purchased your item, the shop assistant may always ask the question of extended warranties or insurance. They may state that the item is small and can be easily damaged or stolen.
